These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of EnglishGroupChat.com and the premium WhatsApp communities and related services we provide (collectively, the “Services”). By purchasing access, joining a group, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. Please review them carefully.
1. Who We Are
EnglishGroupChat.com (“English Group Chat,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) curates invite-only WhatsApp groups for different interests. We are an independent platform and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have the maturity of someone who is, to join our groups.
- We recommend that members be 18 or older. If you are younger than 18, you must be able to participate respectfully and responsibly.
- You must have access to the WhatsApp platform and comply with its own terms, policies, and community standards.
- By purchasing or joining, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.
3. Purchases, Pricing, and Payments
- Each group lists its own price, duration (for example, lifetime, monthly, or quarterly access), and key details before checkout.
- Payments are processed securely through Lemon Squeezy, our third-party payment partner. We do not store or have direct access to your full payment information.
- “Lifetime” access refers to ongoing membership for as long as the group exists and you remain in good standing with these Terms and the group rules.
- All sales are final because access is delivered instantly. Refunds are only considered in cases of duplicate payments or verifiable technical errors that prevent access.
- Taxes, fees, or exchange rates may be added by Lemon Squeezy or your payment provider where required by law.
4. Access and Group Allocation
- You gain access to the specific group you purchase. Each group may have limited capacity, tiered pricing, or subscription models.
- To ensure quality and manage capacity limits imposed by WhatsApp, we may run multiple parallel groups covering the same topic and may assign or reassign you among those groups at our discretion.
- If you voluntarily leave a paid group, or if you are removed for violating these Terms or group rules, you will need to purchase access again to rejoin.
- We may moderate conversations, adjust group formats, or migrate groups to new chats or platforms if required to maintain quality or service continuity.
- We may showcase free or community-managed groups on the site. When a group is identified as community-managed, we do not operate or monitor it, and participation is at your own discretion.
5. Member Conduct and Group Rules
- Follow the group rules provided in the group description, pin, onboarding message, or by group admins.
- Act like the respectful adult human you are (or convincingly pretend to be one): no harassment, spam, hate speech, or disruptive behavior.
- Protect the privacy of other members. Do not copy, share, or publish chat content, member data, or invite links without consent.
- We take group privacy seriously. Leaking conversations or member information is grounds for immediate removal.
- WhatsApp displays participant phone numbers to other members. By joining, you understand this and consent to that visibility.
- Do not represent that you own, license, or have equity in the group. Your purchase grants you access only, on the terms described at checkout.
6. Our Rights to Manage the Service
We reserve the right to remove, mute, or otherwise restrict members who violate these Terms, group rules, or applicable laws. We may also pause, archive, close, or migrate one or more groups at any time, with or without advance notice. This includes situations such as platform outages, admin unavailability, technical or security emergencies, strategic updates, or even the unlikely scenarios where the platform crashes, the admins vanish, society collapses, or we collectively decide it is time to move on.
7. Suspension, Termination, and Refunds
- We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, violate group rules, act unlawfully, or put the community at risk.
- When we suspend or terminate access for cause, you are not entitled to a refund.
- If we discontinue a group entirely, we may offer alternative access, migration to a similar group, or a discretionary resolution, but we are not obligated to do so.
- In rare cases where we cannot deliver access due to a verified technical failure or duplicate purchase, we will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include a refund.
8. Information You Provide
- We collect only the information needed to deliver your access, usually your email address and, if required for onboarding, your WhatsApp number.
- You are responsible for keeping your contact information up to date so we can deliver invites and important updates.

9. Third-Party Services
- Our Services rely on platforms such as WhatsApp and Lemon Squeezy. Their terms govern your use of their products.
- We do not control these third parties and are not liable for their availability, security, or performance.
- By using our Services, you consent to our use of these providers in delivering your purchase.
10. Disclaimers
- The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties about uninterrupted availability, specific results, or the conduct of other members.
- We are not responsible for the actions, statements, or content shared by members inside the groups.
- Your participation is voluntary, and you are responsible for your own decisions and interactions.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, English Group Chat and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant group access.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold English Group Chat harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, including legal fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms, violation of any law or regulation, or infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Website Content and Intellectual Property
- The English Group Chat name, logos, copywriting, design system, and all related assets are owned by us or our licensors. They may not be copied, resold, or repurposed without written permission.
- We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to access the website and groups for your personal use. Commercial use, resale of access, or redistributing invite links is prohibited.
- Content you share in a group remains yours, but you grant us a non-exclusive license to host and moderate it for community operations. We may remove any content that violates these Terms or the law.
- Essential website functions may rely on minimal cookies or local storage as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the site you consent to that limited technical usage.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflicts-of-law principles.
- Before pursuing formal action, contact us at support@englishgroupchat.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days.
- If we cannot resolve a dispute amicably, the matter will be handled through binding arbitration or the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless a different venue is required by consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
- This clause does not limit any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our Services, legal requirements, or business practices. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
